Get ready, Get set!One of the best ways to get the most out of crosscultural encounters is to know as much as possible beforehand. If we know what to expect we are better prepared for the differences (and surprising similarities) we experience! Get Ready, Get Set Project description: Traveling to another country and experiencing another culture is an amazing experience. Being adequately prepared can make quite a difference, so we provide interested travelers with a concise guide to a more successful immersion experience. As with most guides, it is continually changing and often needs to be reviewed. IAW staff frequently look to the outside to be certain that the information contained in the guide is accurate, reliable and helpful. We are currently revising the 2008 edition and are looking for editors to assist us. Time Commitment: This project can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 hours, depending on how many chapters/pages you would like to edit. How to participate: We provide you with a PDF version of the guide and ask for your comments. They can be on the grammar and style of writing, the content and details or your suggestions for changes and additions. The goal is to help people before they travel in order to maximize their chances for a successful experience. |
