Use it or lose it!

Have you ever been able to learn a few words in another language while traveling, only to promptly forget them upon returning home?  Or maybe you increased your fluency while abroad only to revert to stumbling in the language just a few months after leaving?

Use it or lose it Project description:

Foreign language acquisition and immersion is an ongoing process.  In order to help people maximize their language progress they will need strategies, tools and resources to do so.
We are looking for your suggestions of foreign language books, videos/DVDs, web sites, chats, blogs, music as well as local classes, creative ways to work on target language (restaurants, volunteer options, language partners etc) that allow people to continue working on language and culture skills.

Time Commitment:

This project can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 10 hours.

How to participate:

Simply e-mail your suggestions to resources@interamericanworkshop.org
Your suggestions can be language specific, aimed at a certain age group or profession/interest group (medical, business, education, art etc.)

We need your expertise and experience for the content.  Don't worry about fancy formatting, we will take care of that.

Please include your full name, e-mail address(es), target language and how you got to be such an expert on foreign language resources. :)
